How big is it, and who does it fit?
37.4" deep x 37.4" wide x 27.16" high — a little over three feet square, and about waist height on most adults. That is big enough for one adult to sit cross-legged in, or to sprawl sideways with your legs over the arm. The footstool is included, so you can stretch out fully without buying anything else.
Measure the corner you have in mind before you order. Three feet square is a real piece of furniture, and it takes up more floor than people picture from a photograph.
Will it go flat after a month?
This is the thing that goes wrong with most bean bags, so it is worth answering properly. Cheap chairs are filled with loose polystyrene beads, which crush permanently under body weight and cannot be replaced. This one is filled with shredded foam, which springs back.
It will settle — every foam seat does, and you will notice it compress slightly over the first few weeks as the fill beds in. What it will not do is collapse into a flat sack. Give it a shake and a punch every couple of weeks, the way you would plump a cushion, and it holds its shape.
What does the faux fur actually feel like?
Soft and dense with a long pile, closer to a sheepskin throw than to the short flat plush you find on budget seats. It is warm to sit on, which is worth knowing in both directions: welcome in a cold room in February, less so in an unairconditioned room in August.
The pile flattens where you sit and lifts again when you brush it back with your hand or a soft brush.
How do I clean it?
Spot clean only. The cover is not removable and cannot go in a washing machine, so this is the one genuine limitation of the chair and we would rather you knew before you bought it than after.
For everyday care, vacuum on a low setting with the upholstery attachment and brush the pile back up. For a spill, blot immediately rather than rubbing, then clean with a barely damp cloth and a little mild detergent, working from the outside of the mark inwards. Let it dry fully in the air, away from radiators, then brush the pile.
If you have a large dog, a toddler in the messy years, or you plan to eat dinner in it, think honestly about that before ordering. A throw over the seat solves it, but you should be choosing that on purpose.
How does it arrive, and how long until I can use it?
It ships vacuum-compressed in a single carton, roughly 37 x 14 x 14 inches and about 14 lbs. Large but not heavy — one person can carry it, though it is awkward through a narrow door.
Cut the bag open and it expands immediately, then keeps expanding for the next 24 to 48 hours as the foam takes in air. Give it a good shake to break up the fill and leave it a day before you judge the firmness. It arrives looking a little undersized and does not stay that way.
Keep the carton flat and hang on to the plastic compression bag until you are sure. It is the only easy way to send it back if you change your mind.
When will it arrive?
Delivery is free to every US address, with no minimum spend. Orders are processed in 0 to 1 business days, and anything placed before 3:00 pm ET is shipped the same business day. Transit is then 3 to 5 business days with UPS Ground on a tracked service, Monday to Friday. We ship within the US only, and Alaska, Hawaii and US territories can take longer.
How do I track my order?
You will get a shipping email with a tracking number and link as soon as your package leaves us, and you can check progress any time on our Track Your Order page. Tracking can take up to 24 hours to show its first scan, so a blank page on the evening of shipment is normal. If tracking has not moved for 5 business days, or nothing has arrived within 10 business days of shipment, email us with your order number and we will chase the carrier and either resend or refund.
Can I return it?
Yes, and returns are free. You have 30 days from delivery to request a return or an exchange. Email us with your order number and we will send you a prepaid return label to download and print — there is nothing to pay and no restocking fee, whether the chair arrived faulty or you have simply changed your mind.
You are meant to unpack it and sit in it. Using the chair does not void your return. We ask that it comes back clean and complete with the footstool, since faux fur with a fixed cover cannot be laundered and a soiled chair cannot be resold.
If you have already thrown out the compression bag, tell us — we will send replacement packaging at our cost. Refunds are issued within 7 days of your return reaching us, back to the original payment method.
Is it safe around children?
It is a seat for adults and teenagers. It is not a crib, a bed or an infant seat, and it should not be used as one.
Keep it away from open flames, heaters and candles, as you would any upholstered furniture. Do not let young children climb inside the cover, and throw the plastic compression bag away or store it out of reach once you have unpacked it. Supervise small children around it the way you would around any other furniture in the room.
